When Chan Wan San believes he had reached the zenith of his power the World Global Control Organization (WGCO) extends to him an invitation to join them. The WGCO is a collection of like minded individuals that controls all world governments and the majority of their leaders, and maneuvers them into the decisions they make. This is done so that a harmonious balance of prosperity, economics, famine, poverty, peace, and war is maintained. The lives of the three main characters is a story of intrigue, treachery, gun battles, Chinese black magic, the women they've loved, and; their eventual downfall. This tale is based on a true story and inspired by real events.

A solid read through

Wode SuSu: My Uncle A Story of the Chinese Mafia is a good book~ Not overly long, the print isn't fine and difficult to read in a low light situation. There is about 221 pages and a prologue worth reading and at the end a short background info on the author himself. The prologue was interesting in introducing the background for the book and considering it was inspired by true events makes the read more interesting. It also provides a image of how the drug trade works in Asian as compared to the rest of the world.
Tim Lilly mixes crude humor with the development of the tale through a Chinese perspective (including the fun use of Pop culture names) and the cultural meshing of the use of the locations of China and Hawai'i as the grounds for telling the tale. It is fun for those who have knowledge of Hawai'i or Chinese/Asian culture.
The ending of the book is a little preachy but it is a solid tale, a few minor spelling or typing errors by the publisher. Overall it's not too long a read~ get your self a copy.

Well Writen and a Great Read. . .

Tim Lilly"s novel is well written and a great read. The Golden Dragon (Chinese Mafia) reigns supreme as this novel unveils the lives of the men involved in "Wode Susu My Uncle". The novel gives the reader a glimpse of the complex lives these men lived and shows a side not often seen. Never a dull moment. Highly recommended reading for suspense and action fans - before they come out as scrreenplay. If you've read "Wode Susu My Uncle" then "II CORPS The CIA In Vietnam" is a MUST read sequel. I'm looking forward to Tim's third follow up novel coming soon.

Good first writing!

Seeing as how this was recommended by a friend, I went ahead and ordered this book. So it was no surprise that I liked this story considering my friend and I have similar interests/tastes. I won't reveal any spoilers here, other than if you take into consideration this is a story based on actual events, things in recent events/history will make you go "hmmmmm". There is a good natural progression to this story, and it's very easy to read one chapter after another! Do yourself a favor and read this before a movie gets made!
