Wanted to like the story so much more but it fell short

The idea of the story was a good one but it just fell short. The main character Mary throughout I don't know maybe 90% of the book she refused to believe that the Alpha Jarrod was really in love with her and really wanted to marry her, she allowed her sister to bully her her whole life even after she found out the truth there was no confrontation there was, no closure on the situation between her and her sister and her mother. They never mentioned any type of closure on this company in Europe that was supplying them with babies how did they even get shifter sperm for the making of these babies is this happening in any other packs, were they in on this deceit. There were just so many loose ends to the story and I really really wanted to like it but I just couldn't really fall in love with these characters. Jarrod wasn't really being a good alpha how is it that you are Regent Alpha which means an alpha in training or Alpha next in line and you aren't paying attention to what's happening in your pack you aren't listening to any of the concerns that the women are having, you didn't question why the maternity ward was not connected to the original hospital, why it was so far away in the woods and being guarded why men weren't allowed inside to be with their mates while they're giving birth, he didn't question why before his uncle took over the pack why this was never a rule about the mage having to bless the child or why the mage had to take the child away from the parents for an hour I just feel like if you are an alpha and you're going to be taking over your pad you are so proud of you would pay more attention to them instead of just saying oh well we can't do anything about this right now so let's go have dinner and have sex seems like the priorities were completely off and all the women didn't have a backbone why wouldn't you stand up end make a big fuss about how this is not your child just a lot of unanswered questions in weak willed characters I just don't understand very very disappointed

good read

I liked this book, and will read the next one in the series. In a couple of spots I found myself wanting to page forward, funny thing is I'm not sure if it was because I felt a little fatigued with the story line or I really wanted to see what was next. In the middle of the book I just felt little ambivalent about this book. But I completely consumed the book in one sitting and when I finished I found that I had really enjoyed it. It was one of those books where I wanted to immediately start reading the next book in the series.

Errors are becoming a common occurrence with this author.

Good book.. Composition could be bit better, as I got a little bit lost and some bits needed expanding upon. Needs editing to fix spilling mistakes, punctuations and put in some extra paragraphs, here and there. I do like this author, but I do detest errors, which does detracts from the storyline, and interrupts the flow, when you're reading it. Dear Author, please do consider giving this to a friend/friends to read and to edit this book (and others), before publishing it, as this is becoming a common occurrence in your books in regards to errors etc...

A game changer for anyone who actually wants to find Mr (or Mrs) Right!

This has been a completely transformational book for me! I was at the point of giving up on online dating (and perhaps dating altogether!), having been incredibly frustrated by the process. I had done my profile, got a couple of friends to look at it and we agreed it was fine. I put it on a couple of dating sites and waited. The response I got was really bad. Yes, plenty of comments from men, but none that I actually wanted to respond to. I didn't seem to be attracting the men I wanted to be attracting, and logging on to find endless winks from people was not inspiring me to take things further.

I was so close to throwing in the towel when I remembered this book. I had seen it advertised a while ago, and decided to give it a go. I was really pleased to be able to download it straight to kindle on my phone, and within a weekend I had read it and done all the activities because, although there is quite a lot of information, I was so engaged in the content! It was presented in an accessible way and made SO much sense. I could instantly see where I was going wrong.

I re-wrote my profile and put it online. I could not believe the difference in response. Even though I was being much more open and honest, which I thought may get the wrong kind of attention, I was amazed by how differently men were interacting with me straight away. I got far less meaningless contact via messages and winks, and much more respectful and appropriate interactions, like interesting questions asking me to expand on what I had written and invites to dinner.

I have felt so much more empowered by my profile as I feel it is more authentic, true to me and does genuinely seem to be attracting like-minded men which is amazing!

It is early days for me, and yet I wanted to say an enormous thank you to Dave for this fabulous book! I highly recommend it to men and women who are wanting to get clear about what they want and then find a way to present that in a way that the opposite sex will find interesting! I know I am in a far better position to find the right person by being clear and being able to present that clarity!

I had success within 3 hours!

So a number of months ago I decided to venture into the world of eHarmony. I've been on it now for about 3 mths and it's fair to say my results have been extremely poor! No dates, really I've just been trying to get someone to have a conversation with me. So this weekend I was going through creating a relationship vision for myself and came across your book. I downloaded it and worked through it all yesterday. I have to say, great book. It's given me so much confidence to attack my profile and not be scared of it! It is the first book I've ever read in one sitting, so co udos to you! I had a friend read my profile awhile ago and she said to me "ooh, it's very specific...perhaps you should change it". So I did. The results have been no better, but I realise that I'd marketed my brand poorly.

I've just completed the upload of my new content and love the way it portrays exactly who I am and what I am looking for. I've included my velvet rope and I think that will help stop the time wasters and give me real prospects. Your book helped me realise that being proud of who you are and conveying your message to others in a special way is ok, and in fact necessary, if you want to have a passionate and loving relationship. I've realised, as Les Brown says, there are plenty of pigeons out there, but I'm searching for eagles and they're rare, so don't be afraid to be who you are and ask for. Bottom line, I thoroughly recommend this book, 6 stars!!

This is an AWESOME Book!!

This is a truly FANTASTIC BOOK that can save you years of frustration and disappointment!!! I wasted hours and hours writing and rewriting my profile with minimal results (and I’m a very good writer). As a very successful lawyer I thought I could write a great profile on my own and people would be waiting in line for me. Unfortunately I was dead wrong! Fortunately, by carefully following the great practical and very straightforward recommendations in this book – such as “painting a picture of the future” (this was incredibly successful), effectively using “my Velvet Rope,” “generating Curiosity,” using “my UPS,” identifying my “target market,” etc., my new profile generated WONDERFUL responses with the result that I’m now in a great AUTHENTIC relationship with a wonderful woman! And it didn’t take long once my profile was redone using Dave’s suggestions! In reading the book I was shocked to see how I was sending the wrong (and inaccurate) messages in my original profile. The simple truth is that following the recommendations in this book has saved me years of discouragement. My strong recommendation: get this book, carefully follow Dave’s practical steps, and make your dating life much better right now!!!

A good read.

The last two poems by an unlisted poet, Rebecca Baisden, (my wife), were my favorites of course. Everyone else did a good job. The entire book could have been formatted better. A table of contents would have been nice. A bibliography including a list of Authors should have been a must.
All in all it was a good read. Although some of the poems were vague in keeping with the theme. I enjoyed it. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys poetry.

Sheet Music for "Star Trek: Into Darkness"

This is a book of sheet music from the score of "Star Trek: Into Darkness," the latest Star Trek film. I bought it as part of my anniversary gift for my husband. He's the musician in the family! And a good one, too. It's hard to find contemporary sheet music that's challenging enough for him, because his skill level is pretty advanced. I was worried about this book, because I wasn't sure if it was the "easy piano" version or not, but it has pieces that are definitely challenging.

At first, my husband thought it only contained the sheet music for the opening credits, but as he flipped through it, he found that it has several great pieces from the score. He loves Star Trek, and he loves Michael Giacchino, so he was very pleased. Almost at once, he sat down and started playing "London Calls," that lovely, fast-paced piano piece that (I think) is from the hospital scene with Noel Clarke.

This is a great book of sheet music, perfect for lovers of Star Trek, or Michael Giacchino's music. I wouldn't recommend it for beginners, since the music is challenging to play, but more advanced students should be fine. Five stars!

I'm terrible at playing things from ear, and I really really wanted to see if I could play London Calling, so I was delighted to see there was sheet music available for it.

A palette of flavors

The Olive Oil & Vinegar Lover's Cookbook is a hefty book that deserves a big table for poring over the beautiful photographs by DL Acken and food styling by Nicole Kruzick. The book is beautifully designed by Pete Kohut with solid colored pages of coral, aubergine and saffron to complement the images and recipes.

I can see why some people collect cookbooks. They're a pleasure to look at, particularly with gorgeous food styling and photos such as in this book—all of them works of art.

"The table really is where loved ones meet," Lycopolus writes in the introduction to her book. The table is where she and her husband Stephen found olio nuova, "new" or "fresh oil," on the dinner table at Aunt Maria and her daughter Grace's ancestral home in Fano, in the region of Marche, Italy.

Emily and Stephen celebrated at a huge party that followed the harvesting of the olives in the aunties' grove. They enjoyed eating olive oil on toast for breakfast, with charcuterie and cheese, with pasta, and with potatoes and roasts.

When they got back home to Canada they were disappointed and frustrated by the olive oil available, all of it tasting flat, no matter what the price. Olive oil is meant to be consumed well within a year of its harvest date. In North America we tend to view oil as a condiment with a long shelf live.

Emily and Stephen Lycopolus opened a retail store in Victoria, British Columbia and taught people how to taste olive oil, enjoy it and integrate it into everyday life. Emily would type up her own recipes and print them on pages to give away. They also started offering cooking classes. The cookbook was the next step.

Olive oil and vinegar tasting shops have appeared in the area in which I live and the "perfect pairings" are a delight to sample. The cookbook has a list of such pairings such as Persian Lime Olive Oil with Red Apple Balsamic Vinegar.

When visiting an olive oil dealer, don't be afraid to ask lots of questions Lycopolus advises. She gives a list of questions such as, What's the date of harvest?

The recipes are inspiring in their use of fresh olive oil and vinegars. Lycopolus encourages fun in the kitchen as if it were a studio and you a painter with a palette of colors. And she encourages experimentation as that's where "happy accidents" can occur.

Sections of the book feature recipes using "fused" olive oils. When oils are fused, they've been "simultaneously crushed alongside a fresh fruit or spicy chili pepper, and it's referred to as the agrumato method." Lunchtime Jar Salad, for instance, is made with Blood Orange fused olive oil and Mango white balsamic vinegar. The dressing is put in the jar first and then layers of walnuts, cranberries, sunflower seeds, carrots, bell peppers topped with spinach and poppy seeds. Shake the jar when ready to eat!

Following the sections of recipes using Fused and Infused Olive Oils, are sections on Dark Balsamic Vinegars and White Balsamic Vinegars. Traditional balsamic vinegars are a product of Modena, Italy.
